Happy Friday Guys! I hope you’ve had a good week. I don’t think I’m fully recovered from our Thailand trip yet. We’ve been home over two weeks now, but I still feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water. I’m getting by, but not able to get ahead at all. I’m hoping this weekend I will be able to get organized and at least a little bit ahead.
The Weekend
Tara has prom on Saturday. I will be doing her hair, as well as hair and makeup for a couple other beauties. It makes me happy that they asked me to do it for them. I worry that Tara would rather go have her hair done at a salon, but doesn’t want to hurt my feelings so I ask her every dance if she wants to make a hair appointment at a salon. So far she is happy to have me do it. (Yay!) She always looks incredibly beautiful dolled up for dances (yes, I am absolutely a barn-blind momma). I’ll be posting some pictures on Instagram, so make sure to follow me if you are not already. (hummel_holly)
I will be working the Post Prom party with a few other mommas. Our school puts one on every year where we give away about $3,500 in prizes with each party attendant going home with some sort of prize. This year I am in charge of running the Texas Hold’em poker tournament. This is the first year of adding this and it was my idea so I’m hoping that the kids like it and it isn’t a flop! The party goes until 1:30 in the morning. This momma will definitely turn into a pumpkin by the end of the night!!
Shop My Closet
Alright, getting back to it. It was a pretty casual week for me. Two track meets, one day of errand running and a lot of time working at my desk is how my week went down.
I would have liked to have styled this new Madewell tank for spring, but the weather was not cooperating. So I made due, threw on a great cardigan and away I went.

This sweater was from Target last season and is one of the most comfortable tops I own. I tried to find one as close to it as possible to link for you guys. These Abercrombie jeans are some of my favorites.
Gray Pullover (similar) // Distressed Jeans // Nike Air Max
I just bought these joggers and OMG, I want to live in them, like Every.Single.Day!! They are a sweater-knit material – super soft. They are also a slim fit, so not bulky or too baggy. I ordered the petite XS. I promise you it will be the best $24 you will spend for a long time!
Joggers // Sweater (old) // Slip-On Sneakers
Sunshine! Do you see it?? So exciting! It was a little chilly for me in a short sleeve tee, but it felt good to soak up some sunshine. This camo tee was part of my try-on session from Target last week. At $13 you can’t really go wrong. These Express jeans are one of my go-to pairs that I can get several wears out of between washes without them stretching out and the off-white and rose gold Nike’s are quickly becoming one of my favorites. They add a little class to the most casual of outfits.

It feels nice to take a few extra minutes to put something chic together to wear, even when you are just running some errands. I love how this monochromatic look came together.
