Time with My BFF
Yesterday Manette and I ran some errands, got pedicures and did some birthday shopping for my bigger Little, who will officially be a teenager on Saturday. What do you do for a 13 year old boy, for a party/celebration that is? I’m thinking dinner and a movie for him and a couple friends. I feel like between the age and him being a boy a traditional ‘birthday party’ is not fitting. He is my intellectual child that is mature beyond his years. What he enjoys the most are trips to Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium or Natural History museum. I’m pretty sure one of those will be on our agenda for the weekend.
Today is my last day with Manette here. She leaves tomorrow morning (#sadface). It has been such a great visit. I can’t wait to share the photos from our epic shopping day with you guys. It was productive to say the least!

Athleisure-wear is hugely popular and accepted right now. This is the first I have seen of camo leggings. What do you think of them? I love how she paired them with the feminine pink sneakers.
I’ve seen this jacket a lot lately and think it is darling. I am a sucker for the all white look. This very soft pink of the jacket and pop of leopard print on her belt works perfectly with the rest being white.
Aren’t those shoes great?! And that cardigan/kimono/not sure what to call it… is super fun. I think it might look best at the beach or pool.
Great color combination. It amazes me how versatile joggers can be – dress them up or down, they look great most any way.

What do you think of this trend of knotting shirts? Part of me thinks it is too much of the 80’s for my comfort level and part of me thinks it is super cute. No matter what though, this look is great. A few short months ago I was out on the duster length cardigans. I liked them on other people, but not for myself. I’m swaying though. I just ordered one last week and I think I’m all in now!
