There went another week! It sure went fast. We are in the home stretch until summer break, only nine school days left! I’m excited to share another Shop My Closet post with you guys today.
I am feeling on top of things a bit more than normal for Mother’s Day this year. I ordered gifts for the special women in my life and they are all on their way. I made a trip into town on Wednesday and picked up cards and have gotten them sent off. They may not make it until early next week, but I promise that is better than usual for me.
BIG news – my sister is pregnant!!! My sister is three years older than me. Most of us had given up hope that she and her husband would ever grace us with their progeny. I am beyond excited for them. They are having a boy and I cannot wait to meet him. They live in Tucson so we unfortunately won’t get to see them and the baby often. I’m hoping for lots of pictures.
Today we head to Denver to see my dad and one of Dale’s nephews, Todd. His girlfriend is throwing a surprise 40th birthday party for him this weekend. It works out great that they are a few hours north of Denver and my parents are about 30 minutes east of Denver so we will be able to see both of them. My mom is actually in Tucson visiting my sister and her husband this weekend, so I won’t be able to wish her a Happy Mother’s Day in person but I’m glad she is spending the day with one of her ‘babies.’

Okay, on with it. The weather is finally warming up and we are able to dress like it is really spring. It’s so exciting! For reference, I am 5’2″ and 105 pounds. I wear a size 0/2 and XS. If I have the option to go with petite sizing for the shorter length I will.
This lightweight peplum cami from Abercrombie & Fitch is no longer available, but I have linked one that is similar. They may still exist in stores. I just got it in March. I also have it in light blue. This whole outfit gave me problems actually when it came to searching for the links for the items. These shorts and shoes cannot be found online either, again I linked similar items. However, the Free People lace bralette is the same as what I am wearing and it is super comfortable and cute peaking out of low cut tops. I highly recommend it.

This sweater is currently 40% off. I sized up to a Small for a slouchier fit. The joggers are super good, yep, super good. They are a very soft sweater knit material that holds their shape well and the cut is slim so they don’t look frumpy. But the shoes… I just got these while we were in Vegas and I am in love with them! They are sneakers, but they slip on. The laces are faux laces that are stitched into place so they always stay tied. The color is the pretties cream color and they have the oxford design in them that seems to be calling my name right now. I did get a dark smudge on one of them and was able to get it off with just a damp wash cloth, win! Oh yeah, they are super comfortable too with the signature Skecher memory foam footbed!

You guys, this dress is seriously the softest piece of clothing you have ever felt!! So, so soft! Flattering too, AND it’s on sale right now for $25!! I swear I could live in it every single day. Notice the shoes… told you I love them. The oxford pattern and creamy off-white color make them a bit dressier so they pair well with many casual-chic outfits.

I had thought this cami was gray when I ordered it. I was super excited since gray is one of my favorite colors. However, upon arrival I would call it lavender. Still pretty, but not what I was expecting. I do adore the scalloped hem and the length is a nice length for not having to tuck it in. I would say for $30 it is a good buy. I picked up these shorts a few weeks ago during Loft’s friends and family sale. The length is great and I like the button fly detail. They do run a bit big, so I recommend sizing down. I am wearing 25’s and they are a bit loose on me.

Ok guys, I am really bummed that I cannot find these EXACT jeans online for you. Why? Because they are now my favorite pair of jeans I own. They came in my latest Daily Look box and they are perfection. They are a size 24, which made me nervous, but they fit great, are the perfect length and have the perfect amount of stretch/give. I love the slight destruction at the bottom (which is on both legs). I picked this cami up last weekend when we were in Vegas. It has a matching V front and back.
