It’s Friday Guys, we made it! I’m so excited for the weekend. Yesterday I made a trip in to town to pick up flowers for all of my pots. Is it just me or are plants crazy expensive? The kids don’t have school today so they are helping me get them all planted. We have rain in the forecast for today and tomorrow, but hopefully it will be light and intermittent and we can still spend some time outdoors.
Our ‘yard’ is almost five acres and is currently overrun with dandelions. It’s making me crazy! I’ve called half a dozen different people about getting the yard sprayed to kill them and all but one will not follow up and give me a quote. The one that will wants $1,500 for it. That seems like robbery to me. I don’t know if I am completely unaware of the difficulty of the task or what the problem is. I have done some research on the subject and the chemical itself is only a couple hundred dollars…
Next week is the kids’ last week of school and they have informed me that those days will be spent watching movies and playing games, rough! I’m looking forward to having my babes home for the summer.

Love this Lou & Grey Signaturesoft striped dress. It really is one of the softest dresses ever! I searched a long time for a denim jacket that I liked. It took me four trys before I landed on a winner. This one has the perfect amount of stretch to make it comfortable. Remember these shoes that I was raving about last week? I’m still just as high on them – so comfortable and versatile.

What are your summer staples? This Madewell tank is definitely one of mine. Love the pocket detail and the V-neck is the perfect amount of V. I need to add this striped version to my closet. These Nickel & Suede leather earrings are the best. I talked about them on Wednesday, that they are super comfortable and I continue to add more pairs to my collection. You should give them a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I purchased this shift dress back in the fall and this is the first opportunity I have had to wear it. It zips up the back and is fully lined. It’s going to get a lot of use this summer. It would be cute for a night out paired with a statement necklace and a pair of nude sandals. Kind of a side note here – has anyone noticed that Sperry’s are going out of style? I think they must be because I have been specifically looking for this pair of gray Sperry sneaks for a few weeks now and have not been able to find them in any stores. I looked in Las Vegas, Denver and here at home and ended up having to order them online. So I may not be as fashion forward as I like to think, but I’m still a fan of a good pair of Sperry’s. You?
