Another month has gone by and I have a new DAILY LOOK box review to share with you today. In case you are new to it, DAILY LOOK is a clothing subscription program. After filling out a profile to educate your stylist about you and your tastes a monthly box of about 6-9 items will start being sent your way. You try on the items in the comfort of your own home, decide what you like and send the rest back. They make it super easy by including a return bag (or you can reuse the box the items came in) with a return label. Checkout is also a breeze, either with their DL phone app or on your desktop. If you didn’t like anything you received and opted to send everything back you would be charged a $40 styling fee. However, if you keep just one item that fee is waived. I have always found at least one item that I like!
In My May DAILY LOOK Box
I received seven items in my box this month: two pairs of jeans, two dresses, two sweaters and one pair of shorts.
Lets Start with these Just Black Uptown High-Waisted Super Skinny Jeans, priced at $78. I’ve said it several times before, but I’ll say it again: I love this brand of jeans. Their fit/cut is perfect for my body type. And I feel like they are a great value. I believe they are very similar quality to many of the high end brands that run close to $200 a pair and these will come in at half that price or less. When I first put this pair of jeans on I thought they were good, but not great. However, the longer I had them on the more I was falling in love with them. They do have pockets, which in good light you can see through the jeans (a problem with most white jeans and why a lot of them don’t have front pockets). Their fit is very flattering and like my other Just Black jeans they keep their shape really well. I did end up returning this pair, only because I have already added three pairs of white jeans to my wardrobe since winter. I was sad to have to return this pair!

Next I added this Moon River Knit Sweater Top, $70, (which is not showing up on their website currently) to the look. It’s kind of a fun top to play around with in spring. The extra weight of it will keep you warmer as the weather has it’s normal spring ups and downs, but the short sleeves and cropped length keeps it feeling light to be season appropriate. This isn’t a style I can see myself going for often so I opted to return this top.
I tried to raise my arms in these next pictures so you could see how much the pockets show through the jeans.
Up next are these Moon River Self Tie Belted Shorts, $68. I’m assuming these shorts are sold out because I cannot find them on their website, sorry! I think these shorts are adorable. I had requested my stylish send me a pair of paper bag shorts and she did not disappoint! The texture of the material of these shorts, as well as the color, are fantastic. I can see them pairing with so many different tops and dressing them all up a bit. This style of shorts is super on-trend this season and this is a style I am excited to jump on the bandwagon with. I kept these shorts.

These Just Black Dani Minimal Destroyed Skinny jeans, $98, are my new favorite jeans. I LOVE them!! They fit amazing, hold their shape and are super flattering. I think they amount of destruction in them is perfect, as well as the length. Jeans are always too long for me and need to be cuffed, but not this pair! Of course, I kept this pair of jeans.
I can see throwing this Jack by BB Dakota Alfie Button-Back Sweater, $48, on for a cool summer evening. The V-back button detailing is a great touch and the neutral color works with most anything. I did opt to return it because I wasn’t in love with the weight/quality of the material. However, I didn’t think it was a bad value.
Now for the dresses. This The Fifth Label Pleated Front Woven Dress, $88, is a great event dress or date night dress. I really like the pleated front detail and the simplicity of the neckline and straps. I wish the straps would have been adjustable though. With my petite frame the straps made the dress rest just a little too low for me. You can see my bra peeking out the arm holes in one of the pictures. I intentionally left this picture in to show the issue with the straps being a bit too long for a petite frame. I returned this dress because of this.

And last, but not least, this 3/4 Sleeve Trapeze Dress, $68. My first impression of this dress was that the color was a little too loud for me and that the A-Frame ‘swing’ style was not me. However, the longer I had the dress on the more I liked it. It was super soft and draped well. I really liked the slight high-low hemline and the pleating detail in the back. I chose to return this dress because of the brighter color, but question that decision. It really is a very pretty, flattering dress.

What did you think of this month’s box? I think my stylist, Diane, did a great job sending me on-trend pieces of good quality at reasonable prices. I can’t wait to see next month’s box!
