Hi Guys! I have a quick outfit post for you today. I wore this classy and affordable outfit yesterday to attend the Illinois State FFA Convention where our oldest daughter was recognized for winning the state proficiency award for small animal production and care (super proud momma here!). I picked this outfit up when we were in Vegas back in May and this is the first opportunity I have had to put it to use.
I am loving the high-waisted trend when it comes to skirts and shorts – paper bag shorts, pencil skirts and ones like this. They are classy and chic and make you look put together with little to no effort (win!). I had this outfit packed in a suitcase for several days before wearing it. There were some minor wrinkles that I think I could have gotten away with, but I did hit it with my PurSteam Steamer (that I pretty much don’t leave home without) and the wrinkles fell right out.
Cami ($19) // Skirt ($20!) // Sandals
Notice the pockets on this skirt, they are awesome! I just can’t say enough good about how this outfit pulls together. The top is a double layer (worn with my silicon strapless/backless bra) and has a matching V neckline on the back as well. Very simple and classic.
The shoes are the most expensive part of this outfit. At $50 they cost more than the skirt and cami together!! They are good though. They are a soft pink, have an extra cushioned patched under the ball of the foot and are the perfect heal height for wearing all day long.
Back to the proud momma bit – Tara is also on the state winning Vet Science team that will be recognized today at the convention and her team will advance on to compete at the national competition in October. She and her teammates put in countless hours preparing for the state contest and were well-deserving of the win. Tara is an incredibly hard working, determined young lady who is also very considerate and humble. Way to go Sis!
