Hi Guys! Can you believe the 4th of July is right around the corner? Crazy, right? Anyone have any good plans – BBQ with friends, maybe some boating, shopping with girlfriends, fireworks?? We don’t have any set plans yet. We usually go into ‘town’ (two miles away to a town of 200 people) to light fireworks with the cousins. The kids love it. We have usually just flushed or are about to flush goats on the 4th so we don’t want to do fireworks at our house and scare the does, causing reabsorption of the embryos. Its created a fun tradition of spending the evening with family that my kids look forward to each year.
I took some time to round up some outfit inspiration for you to make sure you look super cute while celebrating our great country’s birthday!
Starting with the Reds
I am not one to wear red, so I gravitated towards small pops of red, like the earrings and the shoes. However, when I came across this asymmetrical peplum tank that is a muted red I fell in love. I had to have it. I ordered it a couple of days ago and I am hoping that it arrives in time for me to sport it this 4th of July!
3 – Fringe Earrings (Only $4!!)
4 – Red Slides
5 – Tassel Earrings
6 – Madewell Tank (the BEST tank around!)
Then the Whites
7 – Lace Trimmed Dress (Only $49!) I may have to order this cutie. I’m crushing on the midi length dress right now.
8 – I’ve been eyeing this SEA sweater for the last month. When I saw that it is currently 40% off I couldn’t resist any longer. I ordered it two days ago and impatiently waiting for it to arrive! If you want it to fit similar to how it looks on the model size up one size.
9 – This vertical striped v-front one piece hits me as classy and sexy. This was another piece I couldn’t resist. Its on order. I’ll report back once it comes in on the fit.
10 – Striped off-the-shoulder one piece. Super cute, would be great to sport at the lake for the 4th.
11 – Articles of Society white jeans – good quality pants on sale for a great price! White jeans are so versatile. Everyone should own a pair!
12 – White Jean Jacket – Good for keeping the chill away while watching fireworks!
13 – White cutoffs. Like the jeans, super versatile and something everyone should own. I’m afraid I have four pairs of white shorts…
& Blue
Blue is my color. A few years ago it was gray. And I do love the dusty pink, but blue is definitely my go-to color these days.
14 – Star Tee. Great casual tee to celebrate the holiday and beyond.
15 – Romper, because they are ‘in’ and we are all loving rompers right now!
16 – V-Neck Cami. I have this cami and love it. I wear it often, dressing it up and down with ease. For $19 you can’t go wrong!
17 – Striped T-Shirt Dress. I’m a sucker for stripes and the comfort of a t-shirt dress makes it an easy go-to item for many occasions.
18 – Tie-Waist Dress. This dress is a little bit nicer, but not so much that it couldn’t be dressed down and work casually at that BBQ you will be attending (and its only $30!).
19 – Chambray Tunic Dress. Light-wash chambray is another thing I’m crushing on lately. I’ve been on the hunt for that perfect denim jacket in a light wash. I couldn’t resist ordering this little number when I came across it!
What are you planning to wear for the 4th? If you haven’t figured it out yet I hope I was able to give you some good ideas today! For some more summer outfit inspiration check out this Summer Capsule Wardrobe post.
