This week has gone by way too fast. Last Friday I told you about Manette visiting and how I usually have a terrible chore that I make her help me with, but that this trip I did not have any terrible chore lined up. Well… I found one. She and I cleaned out my closet today. About four years ago when she visited we added a third row of hanging bars at the very top of my closet (we have 10′ ceilings so we were just able to squeeze the third level at ceiling height). My plan was to rotate seasonal clothes between that bar and the two below it. That worked for a couple of years, but the last couple I have essentially forgotten the clothes up on that third level. So today we pulled them all down and sorted through them. I purged 90% of them (#yikes). The good thing is that my 16 year old daughter wears the same size as me so she was able to sort through and ‘shop’ what she wanted. I also have a few other gals that will be able to sort through and take what they would like before I donate the rest. It’s nice to be able to easily get clothes hung up again without fighting for room.

For sizing reference, I am 5’2″ and 110-ish pounds. I generally wear sizes XS or 0-2 in tops and dresses. In jeans I a wear a 25 or 26, depending on the brand. I would call myself average busted and not particularly curvy in any one area. If you have questions about sizing/fit of any particular piece just let me know!
These Zella leggings are amazing. I promise you they will quickly become your favorite pair of black leggings and you will have to convince yourself not to wear them every single day!

This buffalo plaid button-down shirt would be a little too oversized and long on it’s own, but it is perfect to pair with a pullover for a pop of color.

I recently added this Leith bell-sleeved cardigan to my closet and I think it is the sweetest. The pockets are a great touch, it is super soft and cozy and the total effect is classy chic. It’s 40% off right now too!

I bought this sweater back in December when we went to Vegas for the NFR. It’s such a subtle gray, I just love it. These jeans from A&F fit well. They do stretch out a bit throughout the day, so you may want to consider sizing down one size. How about these oxford shoes – what do you think? Too retro?? I’m loving them. Beyond being adorable, they are also extremely comfortable and only $40.

I woke up with an abnormally youthful glow so I decided to go with it and dress like a teeny-bop, ha! This NASA shirt is from Target and is super soft. The jeans have become one of my go-to pairs. They hold their shape well enough that I can get several wears out of them between washes. Those are the kind I like – the ones that make for less laundry!

T minus six days until we leave for Thailand!! I’ve been thinking about starting my packing in the next day or two. Since it isn’t shorts and tank top weather here I believe I can safely pack for Thailand without packing something that I was going to wear (unfortunately).
I hope you have had a great week and have plans to enjoy your weekend. If you like the Shop My Closet posts you can see others here, here and here.
