Rose Gold letter necklaces

I love neutrals, they’re safe.  You can’t go wrong with neutrals, right?  For the last couple of years when my littles have asked me what my favorite color is my answer was ‘Gray.’  Chase, my technical-minded, everything is black and white, right or wrong, there is no gray area little would respond “Mom, gray is not a color.”  Gray it was though and is still way up there on the favorite color list for me.  BUT, it has gotten edged out recently by … drumroll ……. blush pink.  Swoon

I know I am not alone here, I am just one of the many jumping on the blush pink bandwagon.  It’s everywhere, right?  I started seeing it pop up at the end of last summer.  My very first thought when I started seeing it was ‘Really, mauve?  I remember my mom liking mauve.  Isn’t that an unhip, older woman’s color?’  So maybe I am making myself feel better by calling it blush pink?

Blush Pink In My Holiday Decor

I started pulling it into my home décor in the fall with a velvet throw pillow for my couch and a couple fall floral displays.  Then at Christmas it really took over as the main color on my Christmas tree (white being the other color, but remember – Chase says white is not a color).

Blush Pink in my Wardrobe

I’ve also incorporated it into my wardrobe with these blush pink Nike’s, this cardigan, a sweater and a couple scarves.  I have been eyeing a few blush pink bags lately too…

And to finish it off, it is now made an appearance in our master bedroom.  Mr. MM reminded me that it is not only my bedroom and that it is a bit too feminine for his liking.  I am pairing it with navy in the bedroom though, in an attempt to balance the feminine pink with the more masculine navy.

In My Jewelry Too

Rose Gold and copper are a couple good variations of the blush pink.  I have added some copper accents through my home décor, as it adds some texture differences and a play on the pinks.  The metals also helps take the super feminine edge off.  It is also becoming my go-to for jewelry.  I wear this Garmin fitness tracker/watch daily and love these simply letter necklaces.  I have been crushing on this Cartier love bracelet for a while now.  I have the thicker version in white gold that Dale bought me about ten years ago.  I have only it off twice in order to have it rodium plated and I felt naked without it.  I absolutely love it.

What do you think of the blush pink trend?  Will it last more than a season?
