Last week I put this flatlay together and then decided to wear it for our ‘grown up’ outing to Trivia Night last Saturday. It is a great combo that is stylish, yet still comfortable and casual enough to be worn pretty much anywhere. Casual-chic at it’s best.
What You Don’t See
Ok, so let’s talk undergarments. This is a tough cami to find the right bra for. The neckline dips low enough that a regular strapless bra will be visible. I have this silicon backless bra and think it’s great for a lot of different tops. I have wore and re-wore it many times and it holds up great and remains ‘sticky.’ It was definitely worth the $25 investment. However, it does not work with this particular cami. For a top like this a plunging strapless bra is necessary. Target sells this one that is also backless. Rachel from Pinteresting Plans highly recommends this plunge bra. At first I thought that I would prefer one that clasps in the back, but I usually fight with typical strapless bras wanting to work their way down and am constantly fidgeting to keep them in place. I’m thinking this may be the solution, as the silicone adhesive would prevent the downward slide.

Exciting News
I have great news! My BFF is coming to visit from Oregon!! It’s been over a year since I have seen her. I miss her so much. It is amazing the way we are able to pick up right where we left off, like we are next door neighbors. They say love knows no distance and that is truly the case here. She is the kindest, most sincere and caring human AND has a great sense of humor on top of it all. She will be here for a week, yay! In case you haven’t read the About page of this blog, when Manette comes to visit we always have an epic shopping day – like from dawn till dusk. It is so. much. fun.! Stay tuned for the next Fitting Room Files post; no doubt it will be a good one!
