Hi Guys!  I hope you had a great weekend and were able to celebrate the special dads in your life.  Dale and I did a little bit of office work in the morning, then we headed into town with the Littles to gather a few supplies before catching a movie and then dinner.  We chose Ocean’s 8 and were happy with our choice.  I should have grabbed a sweater for the movie, but I forgot so I froze! Afterwards we met up with our two fantastic summer interns for dinner at our local Hibachi Japanese restaurant.  We ended up sending the kids home with the interns and we headed to the grocery store – lots of fun, right?!

Even more fun was unloading all of the groceries and getting them put away once we got home.  We have a fridge in our garage for drinks and overflow food that was in desperate need of a good scrub down.  I didn’t want to tackle that chore at nine o’clock at night, but I didn’t want to load it full of groceries when I knew I would have to unload them all to scrub it down in the next couple of days.  I then reorganized the freezer and cleaned out the house fridge… I’m glad I tackled it all and it is a chore I can check off my list.

The Schedule

Back to the point!  I have come to the realization that I’m losing too much sleep and too much time with my family by trying to maintain our businesses and publish new blog posts five days a week.  I did so much research about starting a blog and have tried to do everything ‘right.’  The biggest point is that I do enjoy doing it.  I enjoy sharing my finds with you – fashion, home decor, beauty products, travel tips.  I just need to find a better balance to be able to maintain it all.  Maybe it is summer that is getting me – the kids are home full time and the barn is FULL of show stock.  On top of the regular business schedule and blogging I am also coordinating kids’ schedules and we are on the road a lot for livestock shows.

Part of doing things ‘right’ when blogging is getting the blog out there and visible to gain followers.  I have been stretched so thin just trying to get the posts up that I have not taken the time to do any of the leg work for getting them out there and visible to more people.  This may not be what I am supposed to be sharing with you, but it is honest.  So two days a week I will be spending the time that I would normally be putting together blog posts working on getting the content ‘out there’ and more visible.  Fingers crossed.

For those of you that do spend a few minutes of your day reading my posts, Thank You.  I appreciate your time and I hope that I am able to add value to your day in that few minutes.  Have a great week!
