Happy Wednesday!  Half way through the short week, yay.  Today I’m sharing with you my weekend shopping try-on session.  We had a girl’s afternoon on Sunday where we hit up a shopping center that we had never been to before.  We didn’t make it up very early in the day and stores closed at six so we really didn’t scratch the surface, but I still rounded up some super cute finds that I’m excited to share with you.

I have to admit though, I think I may enjoy online shopping as much as I enjoy going out to shop.  With having so many great influencers on social media its easy to buy with confidence after seeing something on a ‘real’ person instead of just the retailer’s website.  Rarely do I need to return an item that I bought online after seeing it on real ladies through social media.

Ok, let’s get started!

Nordstrom

It was Nordstrom’s half yearly sale that sucked me into driving the hour and a half to this new-to-me shopping center.  Nordstrom has become my first choice online shopping destination in the last year, but before last weekend I hadn’t ever shopped IN a Nordstrom.  Their website is really user friendly and pleasing to the eye.  Nordstrom sales associates work on commission so if you want to buy a pair of shoes and clothes the associates want you to purchase the items from their department from them.  It was a little bit of a pain, but I can say that they are much more eager to help than what you would experience at a typical department store.  The fitting room had a nice seating area for whoever is with you to wait and the fitting room we were put in was the size of a bedroom.  Do I sound like a total country bumpkin? I feel like it, but I honestly had not ever experienced anything like this fitting room situation before so I had to share it with you.

Both of these tops are ones that I have been eyeing on Instagram and I loved both of them on.  They both had to come home with me.  These jean shorts are the BlankNYC brand, which is now one of my favorite brands for shorts.  The amount of fraying was a little much for me so I did not get them, but it was a tough decision.

Striped Tee // Cutoff Shorts // Peplum Tee

This lightweight knit sweater will be great for cool summer nights and the Treasure&Bond plaid button down is the softest top EVER! It is super lightweight too so you won’t overheat wearing it in the summer.  I’m pretty sure it is going to be one of my staple pieces this summer.

This striped cardigan is another piece I have seen quite a bit on Instagram.  I did not realize it had ruching in the sleeves.  The tank is another Treasure&Bond piece and like the plaid top it is SUPER soft.  I’m thinking that is a signature of that brand and I may need to fill my closet with more of their pieces.  The mint ankle jeans are by Wit&Wisdom.  I haven’t ever wore this brand before.  They have a wide, comfortable waist band with an ideal amount of stretch to them.  The bottom three inches is what I didn’t like about them.  They didn’t continue to taper so they seemed too wide at the bottom.

The ruffle sleeve striped top is a linen blend.  It’s a great option for when you want to look a little more put together, but still be in a tee.  This Leith tank dress is such a pretty color.  I felt it was a little too wide/A-frame for my taste, but didn’t think about knotting the bottom.  I think it would be adorable worn this way.

Loft

This babydoll style flutter sleeve top was on sale 40% off over the weekend.  I took advantage and added it to my wardrobe.  It is very comfortable and flattering in it’s fit.

Express

I stopped into Express specifically looking to add these twill shorts to my closet.  I bought a pair last season and really like them.  This cami has a dot pattern texture to it and is lined/double layered.  They did not have an XS in the store, so I tried on a small.

Altar’d State

This is a new store that I haven’t ever heard of before.  We all thought it reminded us of Dry Goods.  Lots of frills and crochet details. These bell sleeved tops were pretty cute.  The white one seemed to be cut a little funny at the neckline and didn’t lay as nicely as I would have liked.  However, the blue one laid perfectly and had to come home with me.

This peplum tank is really soft.  I questioned if it was too short, but I think with a pair of skinny jeans it will be just right.

Well that covers it.  I hope you enjoyed browsing with me! You can see my last try-on session post HERE.
