Hi Guys! I hope you are having a great beginning of your weekend.  We are gearing up to head to Grand Island, Nebraska for a national livestock show.  We will be leaving this afternoon.  The kids show on Sunday and Monday, then we are heading to see family in Kansas for a day, then Dylan, our oldest, in Colombia, MO for a day before catching Tara’s award recognition session at the State FFA Convention in Springfield, IL on Wednesday.  It’s going to be a whirlwind few days for sure!

I purchased a new laptop a few days ago that I will be taking with me and hope to be able to continue with these enlightening, every-so-important posts for you guys (haha).  However, being the technically challenged gal that I am, don’t be shocked if I miss a post due to technical difficulty.  As soon as I got the new laptop home and fired up I ran into an issue.  The keyboard isn’t functioning properly…  For instance, when I try to hit ‘shift + 2’ to get the ‘@’ symbol I get ” instead… No idea why.  I have my trusty GeekSquad guy coming tomorrow morning to fix that glitch and get through the initial setup for me, as well as do some updating/cleanup on my desktop that has been running super slow lately.  So, fingers crossed for me!

Our weather has been really hit and miss lately.  As you can see, in the span of just a few days I’ve gone from solidly ‘summer’ outfits to jeans and sweatshirts.  What the heck?!

I found this adorable skirt at Target and just love it.  It was paired with a matching cropped top in the store, but that was doubly bad in my book – way too much matching and tummy showing.  Nope and nope.  I paired it with this classic cami for a cute, but more conservative look.

This shirt was one I received in a recent DailyLook box that I fell in love with and it hasn’t disappointed me.  I believe it is a linen blend material, but doesn’t wrinkle quite as easily.  I paired it with these cotton twill midi shorts from Express that are a great summer staple.  The color on these is unique, kind of a dark, muted teal.  And then there are the sandals.  I am loving these sandals and would say that they are the best purchase I’ve made lately (and I’ve made a few…).

After yesterday’s post you know I am loving this jumpsuit and am singing it’s praises.  For $30 you can’t go wrong!  Again, the link takes you to a different jumpsuit, but once you choose the ‘Ash’ color it will display the correct one.

We were traveling on this day so having a cardigan to keep me warm in the AC was a must.  I absolutely love this button front cami from Loft.  The length of it makes it great to pair with jeans or even leggings, but it can also be dressed up tucked into a skirt of pair of paper bag shorts.

As I said in last week’s Shop My Closet post, I’ve been living in the green version of this sweatshirt so I decided to add this muted pink version to my closet as well.  I love the raw bottom hem and the wide cuffs.  These jeans are the ones I was raving about a couple weeks back as my new favorite jeans that fit amazing and don’t stretch out.  Size down one size.
